Agios Georgios
A sud di Creta, a poca distanza da Agia Galini, si trova la spiaggia di Agios Georgios. È luogo lontano dalla frenesia della vita cittadina, con acque cristalline e una spiaggia incontaminata. Il posto giusto per una vacanza all’insegna del relax.
Sulla strada per Agios Georgios, troverete molti sentieri che vi condurranno a piccole cappelle o a minuscole e tranquille spiagge di ciottoli.

Fragokastelo Beach
A magnificent beach next to the homonym Venetian castle. A visitor can enjoy the beach when it’s not windy. Around the castle there are some restaurants. The route here is relatively difficult, but very scenic.
Akoumia beach
A large pebble beach just next to Triopetra. The water here is quite deep and when it’s not windy the visitor can enjoy it.
Monastery of Panagia Κaliviani
This beautiful monastery is known for its charity work. A complex of institutions is developed around the Monastery such as laboratories that craft vestments, painting and weaving. Also there is a museum of ecclesiastical and folk crafts, public elementary school and kindergarten.
Kommos beach
The ancient port of Phaistos has one of the longest beaches in Crete. In front of the antiquities there is a part of the beach with sunbeds and umbrellas. There is a tavern a little further.
Agiofarago
Agiofarago Canyon is located in south of Odigitria Monastery is very scenic and accessed only on foot. Its name indicates that it was used by many hermits who stayed here because of the isolation of the area.
Plakias beach
A seaside village with a long beach which provides umbrellas and sunbeds and also a small harbour with restaurants and cafes.
